His ‘working week’ has, for the last decade or more, been focused on cases involving allegations of serious sexual offending. However, his experience extends to cases of manslaughter, other serious violence and drug related offending. He has been engaged as leading counsel in cases concerning prison riots and large scale drug trafficking. He has been engaged as junior counsel in many murder trials.

SPECIALISM

Clive is a specialist in all cases concerning allegations of sexual offending.

He has been involved, both defending and prosecuting, in numerous cases where rape, sexual assault & indecency with children has been alleged.

He was recently involved in representing a number of defendants in a case concerning the corruption and sexual abuse of teenage girls in Derbyshire. The case took a year to complete and attracted national attention.

It is fair to say that the majority of his work is defence work but he has been briefed by the CPS to prosecute Grade 4 work.
