Mark Achurch, instructed by East Midlands CPS, appeared for the Crown and achieved the first ever criminal convictions at the Mercure Hotel on Mansfield Road on the 26th of March 2021. The Mercure hotel is currently being used by Nottingham Crown Court as a “Nightingale Court”. The allegations were of sexual assaults committed by a stepfather on a stepdaughter.
