Devni has been described as "perceptive, interested, hardworking, highly intelligent and filled with common sense".   She regularly prosecutes and defends in both the Crown and Magistrates' Courts.  

Devni has also been awarded her Doctorate by the University of Manchester.  Her thesis was titled "The International Court of Justice and the Universal Subject in the Diplomatic and Consular Regimes"
