Catherine Picardo secured an acquittal at Derby Crown Court, for a Defendant who had been charged with one count of rape dating back to 2008. The six day trial concluded Monday 2nd November, where the Jury returned unanimous Not Guilty verdicts in under three hours.

Cohen Barley, defended by Mr Varley and prosecuted by Mr Short, stabbed two men through a car window, proceeded to flee the scene and actively attempted to evade police by moving between addresses and staying in hotels under different names.
